Hilltoppers News
Caden Veltkamp, South Warren High School quarterback and son of WKU Strength & Conditioning Coach Jason Veltkamp, announced his verbal commitment to the Hilltoppers. He’s the fifth member of the 2022 class.
WKU did miss out on three-star Alabama safety Miguel Mitchell, who announced his commitment to Vanderbilt.
All this football recruiting talk has me ready for fall. Anyone else?
It’s official: The Tops and Rebels will meet in Atlanta on December 11.
Speaking of schedules, we got a host of C-USA slates from different teams. We now have dates for WKU’s matchups with MTSU, ODU and Louisiana Tech.
We also got the full Lady Tops conference schedule, which will feature 18 total games (nine home, nine away) and will feature every team but one (UTEP).
In their final game of pool play in the Kaunas Olympic Qualifier, Poland fell to Slovenia, 112–77, to finish second in Group B. A.J. Slaughter had 11 points and five assists in 28:23. The Poles will now face Lithuania, who won Group A by going 2–0 vs. Venezuela and South Korea, on Saturday. A loss eliminates the Poles from Olympic contention.
If the Poles do fall, Slaugther has a back up plan: He’ll join former teammate Jeremy Evans on the Eberlein Drive for this year’s The Basketball Tournament, which gets more and more popular each year and I can’t for the life of me figure out why.
The master troll himself, Big Game Boomer, has his newest map out and…well, you’re more than likely not going to like it.
