— Coming off Monday’s press conference in Prospect, Ky., Rick Stansbury went back to back held a 54-minute press conference yesterday. He went through a variety of topics including the roster for next season, the Costa Rica trip & a call to sell out Diddle next season. If you’ve got time give it a watch or listen, he’s gold in these settings.
— Brad Stephens wrote about what Stansbury said about grad transfers Darius Thompson & Dwight Coleby’s recruitment process and what they bring next season.
— Fletcher Page from the Courier Journal discusses Mitchell Robinson making the first cut at the U19 USA training camp and his summer plans that could include a possible trip to Egypt with the National team.

— WKU Football got two more commitments from Georgia to start off the week. On Monday 3-star receiver Spencer Gattis committed to the Tops and last night 6-foot DB Jayden Patterson joined the fold.

— Underdog Dynasty continued their Conference USA’s positional rankings with the kicker. They ranked WKU’s group as #7 in the conference, but still in good shape.
— Patrick Magee from the Sun Herald (Hattiesburg, MS) ranks Conference USA programs based on value. Their rankings incorporate facilities, support and on the field success. Despite winning more C-USA titles over the past three years than any other school, he put WKU at #6, mainly because of the repeated lack of fan support. Let’s hope that continues to change as the program grows.

— The Kentucky Kings, made up of several WKU Basketball alums including A.J. Slaughter, Jeremy Evans & Steffphon Pettigrew drew a 4 seed in the South region of The Basketball Tournament that starts on July 8th.
— Matt Sarzyniak breaks down what will happen to the G5’s Conferences TV rights when most of them expire by 2019–20 athletic season.
— Ex-Lady Topper Basketball player Micah Jones was WKU’s recipient of the C-USA Castañeda Postgraduate scholarship that rewards outstanding performance in the classroom and on the field during their playing careers in C-USA.
— Departing President Gary Ransdell & his wife Julie will both be inducted into WKU’s Hall of Distinguished Alumni on October 13th.
— WKU officially confirmed that the Basketball Tops will be taking that foreign trip to Costa Rica in August and will play 3 games during the trip.

— College Football News predicts that the Tops will return to the Bahamas Bowl and play Toledo in their preseason C-USA bowl projections.
— ProTopper Andrew Edwards picked up his second save of the season, pitching one shutout Inning with two strike outs to help the Northwest Arkansas Naturals beat the Arkansas Travelers on Tuesday night.
— Anderson Miller went 1-for-3 with a single in the Carolina League All-Star game but was thrown out at home in the second inning.
