Happy Tuesday Hilltopper Fans, While it’s been a while since we’ve done one of these (Mid January), we thought with everything that is going on we’d update you on the WKU’s related content on the internet. Here’s what you may have missed over the past few days:
2021 4-Star Guard Zion Harmon is slated to make his decision today at 2:08 PM
The former Bowling Green Purple is now expected to be heading to the Hill by all of the recruiting experts
Harmon is expected to reclassify to the 2020 class and sign with the Hilltoppers during the next signing period (whenever that is), stay tuned for more reaction when Harmon makes his plans public this afternoon
Todd Stewart discussed with Elliott Pratt of The Bowling Green Daily News how a successful 2019–20 season has him optimistic for 2020–21.
Pratt also interviewed ProTopper Joel Iyiegbuniwe, who is using his platform as a professional athlete to thank health care workers during the Coronavirus crisis and encourage athletes to workout at home during this trying time.
Taveion Hollingsworth and Jared Savage were named to the NABC all District 11 teams, which is basically another All-Conference USA team.
Former Hilltopper offensive lineman Miles Pate went on the College2Pro Players Podcast to discuss his NFL draft stock.
Lucky Jackson also appeared on a podcast, Inside the Hashes to discuss his game and NFL Draft Stock.
The Kansas City Star interviewed former WKU standout Dwight Coleby who was living and playing basketball professionally in Italy during the Coronavirus outbreak.
It’s a shame that all the spring sports were canceled but it definitely hurts that Jackson Swiney was raking early in the season
Another bad side effect of the Coronavirus is people aren’t getting to enjoy the beauty of the WKU Campus right now
Underdog Dynasty explored 10 Conference USA games from 2019 to rewatch during this sportsless period. That included two WKU games the win over FIU and the loss to FAU.
UDD is also using this time to do a twitter poll to find the best quarterback in Conference USA history. Brandon Doughty and Mike White have both made the Elite 8
Unfortunately for Topper fans, they’ll be facing each other in the Current Era (2014-Now) Finals tomorrow. Stay tuned to vote.
WKU Basketball’s matchup at Louisville has been moved to the opening night of the 2020–21 season. This is a golden opportunity for WKU to make a statement right off the bat against a Louisville program that should be rebuilding.
UAB named former Ole Miss and Cincinnati Head Coach (and UAB Alum) Andy Kennedy head coach. His return to Birmingham should definitely help improve Conference USA’s product.
In case you missed it last night, we discussed sophomore Safety Clayton Bush’s shocking decision to enter the transfer portal.
Group of Five Guys are doing a bracket with every Group of 5 teams biggest moment in recent history. WKU was ranked as a #7 seed with the 67–66 Win over Marshall as their moment. They appear poised to advance to the round of 32 to face Wyoming.
Tyson Helton continued to extend offers to 2021 prospects yesterday
WKU is hosting #RedTowelTuesday on Social Media as a way for fans to show how they’re staying safe during the Coronavirus pandemic. Feel free to share your photos on Twitter and Instagram.
Here’s a nice shoutout to former ProTopper and Cincinnati Bengal Jeremi Johnson
