WKU basketball recruits
On Thursday, the Courier-Journal in Louisville released their 10-member First-Team All-State hoops squad for both girls and boys and three future Hilltoppers made the cut:
South Laurel junior Ally Collett, who averaged 20.9 points, 7.1 assists and 3.8 boards as a junior. Collett has been playing varsity hoops since the seventh grade and owns South Laurel’s scoring record.
Madison Central senior Isaiah Cozart who averaged 20 points, 12.2 boards and 5.8 blocks. He’s going to be a mighty fine piece next to Nick Ongenda and *small print* maybe even Charles Bassey?…
Clinton County’s Jackson Harlan, who was the first commit to the Tops 2019 class, who averaged 23.9 points and shot 32.3% from deep this year. The Tops are hoping he is the next incarnation of Jake Ohmer (and maybe a more consistent version of him) and this is a tremendous accolade to end his high school career on
Ben Morrison
The minor league baseball season has started and Ben Morrison has had a lot of great early success. For the Low-A Burlington Bees, he is 1–0 with a 0.00 ERA and a save in five innings of work, where he’s allowed just one hit, two walks and struck out six, including a four strikeout performance on Wednesday.
Should he stay with Burlington, Morrison will be back in Bowling Green to face the Hot Rods May 6–8.
Jeremy Evans
Not only does he still have tremendous hops, but that flow is incredible too.
Not to rain on Jeremy’s parade, but I’m pretty sure that’s a travel, even in Turkey.
Evans is averaging 10.7 points, 1.1 blocks and 7.6 rebounds a game in the Basketball Super League for Darüşşafaka Tekfen.
Also, does anyone have 125 turkish dollars and whatever the international shipping is so I can purchase this?

Spring Game excitement
Did…did you know the spring game is this Saturday? Because there doesn’t seem to be a ton of hype around it.
Now, this very well could be a symptom of my not living in Bowling Green, so I’m not truly living and breathing the WKU happenings like I once did, but it seems like it’s kind of an unrealized that this Saturday is the last football we’ll get until August.
Which wouldn’t be odd coming off of the disappointing season, but with the excitement around the Tyson Helton era, and with yet another quarterback battle brewing, you’d think there’d be a little more excitement for Saturday.
Humans playing basketball
After the departure of Dalano Banton, there’s some concern over who will play point guard for the Hilltoppers. But fear not, the Japanese have an answer for us.
People say robots are going to take over the world.
I say they already have.
It’s been nice knowing you all.
