Welcome to Draft SZN, everyone, as we’ll hopefully over the next couple of weeks be talking about landing spots for former Hilltoppers in their respective sports. Today, we kick that off with Tashia Brown, as she hopes to hear her name get called in this week’s WNBA Draft.

Alright, now that we have that out of the way, where does Brown slot in to all of this?
Unfortunately, there’s only one full mock I could find that included her, and that was from ESPN, who sees her going 32nd overall (third round) to the Las Vegas Aces (formerly San Antonio Stars). The only other full, three-round mock draft, via DraftSite.com, who doesn’t mock Tashia landing anywhere.
We almost have a second full mock, via the StarTribune in Minnesota, but they only went two rounds deep. Damn.
As it stands now, the Aces already have seven forwards on their roster, and six of those seven have less than five years of experience in the league. (The lone outlier, Tamera Young, is a ten-year WNBA vet.)
I’m not as well versed with roster regulations in the WNBA as I’d like to be, so I don’t know what the case for Tashia is if she is drafted but Vegas changes their mind.
All I know is I’m hoping for the best, and hoping to see Tashia land…somewhere. Anywhere. Especially with Atlanta.
