In new news that isn’t so new (this was announced on August 21, apparently), former Hilltopper forward Jeremy Evans has signed a contract with the Turkish team Darussafaka for the 2018/19 season.

The contract, per the team, is for one year.
Evans spent all of last year in the Atlanta Hawks system, playing in 39 games for their G-League affiliate, the Erie BayHawks, where he averaged 15.3 points and 10 rebounds in 30.7 minutes.
The Arkansas native spent one game with Atlanta, where he played five minutes and logged one basket in a game against Miami.
As a Hawks/Hilltopper fan, I’m bummed that Evans is no longer in the system and I’m bummed that he’s taking his talents overseas this year, but hopefully he’ll have a successful year and find an opportunity in the NBA next season.
As it stands, there’ll be two stateside ProToppers this year: Courtney Lee with the New York Knicks (for now) and T.J. Price with the Lakeland Magic, the G-League affiliate for Orlando.
