It’s week five of the NFL season, and we’ll see a few fewer ProTops than normal this week with a key injury and a bye.
It’s week five of the NFL season, and we’ll see a few fewer ProTops than normal this week with a key injury and a bye.
Jack Doyle, Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots (Thursday, 7:20 p.m. FOX/NFL Network)
For the third week in a row, Doyle will be out while he continues to nurse a hip injury.
The injury list is long for the Colts so things could get ugly tonight.
Taywan Taylor, Tennessee Titans at Buffalo Bills (Sunday, 12 p.m. CBS)
Taywan had the biggest day of his season so far, catching seven balls for 77 yards including a huge fourth down reception in overtime as part of the Titans’ three-point win against the Eagles.
Forrest Lamp, Los Angeles Chargers vs. Oakland Raiders (Sunday, 3:05 p.m. CBS)
Lamp hasn’t seen the field in any capacity in 2018.
Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams at George Fant, Seattle Seahawks (Sunday, 3:25 p.m. FOX)
Higbee and Fant have both not seen a ton of action this year, but Fant did get some offensive snaps on the ‘Hawks O-Line for the first time since week one last week so maybe that’s a sign of things for come.
As for Higbee, he has just three targets all year.
Joel Iyiegbuniwe, Chicago Bears, BYE
Iggy and the Bears have their bye week this week, along with Tampa Bay.
Mike White, Dallas Cowboys at Houston Texans (Sunday, 7:20 p.m. NBC)
White is one of two ProTops to not see the field this year (Forrest Lamp) and unless something detrimental happens to Cowboys’ starter Dak Prescott, that’ll continue into week five.
Joel Iyiegbuniwe, Chicago Bears, BYE
Iggy and the Bears have their bye week this week, along with Tampa Bay.
