#ProTops: Former Toppers in NFL Week 4 Action
Week four of the NFL season kicksoff this evening, with a former Hilltopper in action in primetime.
Week four of the NFL season kicksoff this evening, with a former Hilltopper in action in primetime.
Earlier in the week, we broke down how much former Toppers played in week three. We’ll do this all year long, but before we can do it for week four, we need to preview what lies ahead.
Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams vs. Minnesota Vikings (Thursday, 7:20 p.m. FOX/NFL Network)
Higbee is the first Topper to be featured on Thursday Night Football this year as the Rams will look to move to 4–0 against the Vikings. Higbee was the recipient of two passes last week for 35 yards.
Joel Iyiegbuniwe, Chicago Bears vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Sunday, 12 p.m. FOX)
Iggy is still being eased into the lineup for Chicago, having played only on special teams through the first three weeks of the year. Will that change on Sunday?
Mike White, Dallas Cowboys vs. Detroit Lions (Sunday, 12 p.m. FOX)
White is one of two ProTops to not see the field this year (Forrest Lamp) and unless something detrimental happens to Cowboys’ starter Dak Prescott, that’ll continue into week five.
Taywan Taylor, Tennessee Titans vs. Philadelphia Eagles (Sunday, 12 p.m. FOX)
Taywan and the Titans played in an ugly 9–6 win over Jacksonville, a good win for the Two Toned Blue. We keep waiting for him to have his true coming out party and what better team for that to happen against than the defending champs?
Jack Doyle, Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans (Sunday, 12 p.m. CBS)
Doyle didn’t play in last week’s loss against Philly due to a hip injury and it looks like he may be absent this week. He’s officially listed as week-to-week and wasn’t on the practice field on Wednesday.
Forrest Lamp, Los Angeles Chargers vs. San Francisco 49ers (Sunday, 3:25 p.m. CBS)
Lamp hasn’t seen the field in any capacity in 2018.
George Fant, Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals (Sunday, 3:25 p.m. FOX)
Fant hasn’t played a ton, mostly on special teams, and hasn’t had any offensive snaps since week one.
