It’s been a while since we’ve checked in on how our baseball ProToppers are up to, so let’s get to it!

Whatever was keeping Danny Hudzina off a roster is no longer an issue, as he is back, this time with the Palm Beach Cardinals (High-A, the club I thought he’d start the year with back in April) and is seeing some early success. Through his first eight games, he’s slashing .240/.321/.560 with two home runs and four RBI. He is averagging juuuuust over a strikeout per game (nine K’s in eight contests) but that’s baseball, right?
Anderson Miller is maintaining his good hitting after bringing his average up out of the dumps that it was in in the first month of the season. Since May 23, Miller has seen his average increase consistently from .235 to .262, and he’s hitting .351 with a home run and seven RBI over his last 10 games.
For the year, the Lexington native is slashing .262/.313/.423 with four home runs and 19 driven in, with five stolen bases.
Andrew Edwards is still sidelined on the Northwest Arkansas DL.
For Kes Carter in the independent American Association, he’s enjoying the start to his season. Through 11 games, Carter is hitting .293 (sixth-best average for the St. Paul Saints) with two home runs (tied for the team best) and eight RBI. He also has yet to commit an error. So, that’s rad.
