#ProTops: NFL Week 3 Update

Recapping former how former Hilltoppers performed in Week 3.

All 32 NFL teams have seemed to finally start to settle in for the 2021 NFL season. For what it’s worth, our beloved Hilltopper Football alumni have helped make this past Sunday a bit more exciting. Here’s how they did:

Starting off the afternoon was the Colts traveling to Nashville to face the Titans. Jack Doyle caught a reception for 10 yards in the 25–16 loss. For the first time in a decade, the Colts start off the season winless.

Joel Iyiegbuniwe made a combined tackle in the Bears 20–6 loss to the Browns.

Things in New York are not improving as they now fall to 0–3 after Sunday’s 26–0 loss to the Broncos in Denver. George Fant played 54 snaps on offense at the right tackle position. Mike White did not play in Sunday’s game.

Closing out the afternoon, the football world was treated to a matchup between the Buccaneers and Rams. Tyler Higbee caught five passes for 40 yards and a touchdown.

The Rams went on to defeat the defending Super Bowl champions, 34–24. They are enjoying the fruits of a 3–0 start.
