Week Four of the 2021 NFL was filled with upsets involving the home ball clubs of our beloved Hilltopper alumni. Let’s see how they did this week:
The Jets are no longer winless as they defeated the Titans in overtime, 27–24. Mike White did not play as he remains in a backup role under Zach Wilson.
George Fant held his own while playing all 61 snaps on offense. He continues to receive high grades from his play at left tackle:
Jack Doyle caught one reception for 24 yards in the Colts' 27–17 win over the Dolphins. So far, this was his longest reception in 2021 as he does not have any touchdown catches. The Colts break their losing streak to post a 1–3 record in the early season.
Joel Iyiegbuniwe remains inactive as he missed the Bears' 24–14 win over the Lions.
Tyler Higbee caught four receptions for 36 yards in the Rams loss to the Cardinals. Unfortunately for Higs, he starts week 5 off with being a limited participant in practice due to ankle injuries. He is listed as questionable for the upcoming Thursday night game against NFC West foe, the Seahawks.
