On Monday afternoon, the Tennessee Titans — along with several other NFL squads — announced their unofficial depth charts ahead of the first full week of preseason, and not only was a former Topper featured, but prominently so.
Second-year pass catcher Taywan Taylor is listed as a WR1, along with fellow second-year receiver Corey Davis (who missed a lot of time last year due to injury) after putting on an absolute show over the first couple of weeks of the Titans’ training camp.
His depth chart positioning is interesting; he’ll most likely be starting Thursday’s preseason game against the Packers, but as a second-year guy who a lot of people are projecting to have a big year, will he get “first time minutes,” or will he be able to show his stuff for more than a usual starter would?
Anyway, it’s great to see more than just one Topper atop a depth chart.
