It’s Wednesday, my dudes, and that means we are just over a day away from the NFL Draft. With that, all your typical draft outlets are filing their final mocks, putting together final rankings and then going into hibernation for like half a year because being a draft guru is tough, tough work.
One of the kings of the guru castle is SBNation’s Dan Kadar, who has put together his Top 200 Big Board for the draft, and it features a pair of Topper prospects.
Mike White comes in at #168, the seventh QB on the list and Joel Iyiegbuniwe is listed as #177 (one spot under Bo Scarbrough), the 17th linebacker on the big board.
If the draft goes completely in line with Kadar’s board, White will go to the Seattle Seahawks (31st pick in Round 5) while Iggy will hear his name called by the Houston Texans (third pick in Round 6). That obviously isn’t going to happen, but if the Big Board is to be believed, that’s about where Kadar sees their worth.
I agree with the White assessment — I’ve never bought into the whole “he’s a top three round quarterback,” narrative (I’m also not super intensive in draft stuff, so what do I know), and think the fifth round (but earlier) or fourth (later) could be where we see White go.
As for Iggy, I think he might sneak his way into late in the third, but that might be wishful thinking on my part.
