The playoff race keeps getting tighter & tighter as the 2020 NFL Season comes to its homestretch. The weekend before Christmas brought a lot of surprises for the teams that include our Hilltopper football alumni. Let’s dive into recapping the festivities of Week 15.
Starting the week on Thursday Night Football, the AFC West sponsored a division battle between the Raiders & Chargers. The Bolts squeaked out of Las Vegas with a 30–27 overtime victory. Forrest Lamp started his 14th game on the offensive line & played a total of 72 snaps.
Moving onto Sunday:
The Bears were victorious in a 33–27 decision over their NFC North foes, the Vikings. Joel Iyiegbuniwe played a total of 24 snaps, mostly on special teams duty.
The Colts and the Texans met in Indianapolis for an AFC South matchup. The misfortunes for the Texans continued as the Colts defeated them 27–20. Even though the Texans are out of playoff contention, there is talk surrounding the franchise about a new head coach being hired. Romeo Crennel is still the interim coach for the rest of the year, but questions are surrounding him being retained as a defensive coordinator or parting ways come season’s end. In the meantime, he's still showing the Hilltopper spirit.

Jack Doyle caught two receptions for 14 yards. His longest reception was a seven-yard grab. The Colts remain tied with the Titans for first place in the AFC South.
The Chiefs traveled to New Orleans for an afternoon primetime game against the Saints. The Chiefs spoiled Drew Brees return from injury as they celebrated a 32–29 win to remain atop of the AFC standings. Deon Yelder caught a reception for 6 yards.
The Rams and Jets battled in a game that featured an array of #ProTops. Shockingly enough, the Jets came together to get their first win of 2020, defeating the Rams 23–20.
George Fant started on the offensive line and played 70 total snap counts.
Mike White remains on the practice squad for the Jets.
On the Rams side, Tyler Higbee returned to familiar territory with a touchdown.
He finished the game with 4 catches for 67 yards. His longest grab went for 44 yards.
