As we’re still adjusting to the “new normal” of 2020, WKU’s finest continues to make a strong impact throughout the NFL. Here’s how our Hillttopper Football alumni fared in Week 2:
Taywan Taylor remains on the practice squad for the Browns. They were victorious in the Battle of Ohio as they beat the Bengals 35–30.
Jack Doyle was sidelined with knee and ankle injuries in the Colts 28–11 win over the Vikings. His progress is being monitored on a week by week basis going forward.
The Topper Jets duo of Mike White and George Fant ran into another snag on Sunday. In their 31–13 loss to the 49ers, the two still remained to make some contributions. White saw some placekicking action holding for Sam Ficken. Fant played 65 snap counts on the offensive line.
Joel Iyiegbuniwe played on special teams during the Bears 17–13 win over the Giants. He accounted for 17 snap counts.
Tyler Higbee had himself a DAY.

but THREE touchdowns in the Rams blowout 37–19 win over the Eagles.
It’s safe to say that as of this season, once again he remains one of Jared Goff’s favorite playmakers. Fantasy football enthusiasts salivated over Higs’ performance. He had five receptions with 54 yards as well.
Forrest Lamp & Deon Yelder’s teams squared off in an AFC West showdown between the Chargers & the Chiefs in Los Angeles. It was the defending Super Bowl champs prevailing on the road, 23–20 in an overtime thriller. Lamp started on the offensive line at the guard position again, tallying 83 snap counts. Yelder remained inactive for the Chiefs.
Stay tuned for more updates as the season progresses.
