The season keeps on getting interesting as we’re in the fourth week of the 2020 NFL Season. Plenty of our #ProTops were in action on national television this past weekend. Let’s get started with some updates from YOUR fellow Hiltopper alumni!
The Topper-Jets kicked off the weekend on Thursday Night Football. They battled the Broncos as both teams were searching for their first win of the season. Unfortunately, this did not go in favor of the Jets. They fall to 0–4 after a 37–28 loss to the Broncos. On the bright side, George Fant was active after missing last week’s game & tallied for 81 snap counts. One impressive feat from Fant is that so far in the three games he started in 2020, he has not committed a single penalty.

Mike White was inactive as he was called back to the practice squad. In a recent sequence of events, he was called back to active duty as the Jets are monitoring a shoulder injury to starting quarterback Sam Darnold.

Moving on to Sunday, Taywan Taylor was on the practice squad during the Browns win over the Cowboys, 49–38.
A rare dual matchup involving #ProTops was on tap for Sunday evening. Joel Iyiegbuniwe played in 26 special teams snaps during the Bears 19–11 loss to the Colts. Also in the same game, Jack Doyle had only one reception for 12 yards. Due to the recent rise of fellow tight end Mo-Allie Cox & the return of Trey Burton, you have to think what does this mean for Capt. Jack. Despite signing a three-year extension in the offseason, some Colts insiders are speaking about a trade discussion for Doyle.

We’ll see how this plays out. Let’s hope the best for Capt. Jack either way.
Tyler Higbee and the Rams got back to their winning ways on Sunday. The team finished off the Giants, 17–9. In the victory, Higbee was only held to 29 yards off of three receptions. After his Week 2 dream performance, it seems like teams are figuring out how to slow him down. Interestingly enough, some fantasy experts talked about how fantasy football players (yes, I’m part of this also) should keep hope alive for Higs.

Forrest Lamp continues to be a shining star in what seems to be an abysmal season for the Chargers. Despite a fresh start with rookie quarterback Justin Herbert, the Chargers fell to the Buccaneers on the road. The final score went in favor of Tampa Bay, 38–31. NOW, THIS is what we all know and love about Forrest. He did not allow a single pressure against the Buccaneers pass rush on Sunday.

At least in the midst of an 0–4, Forrest is just one of the bright spots for the Bolts.
Closing out the weekend, Deon Yelder & the Chiefs were in primetime on Monday night against the Patriots. He was listed fourth on the depth chart heading into Monday's game. That did not stop him from getting some playing time. He caught one reception for five yards in the Chiefs 26–10 win.
