Even though the temperature outside keeps dropping, the 2020 NFL Season keeps heating up. Going into the halfway mark of the year, various teams are trying to make a serious run for the Lombardi Trophy. Will one of our #ProTops make the stride along with their team of making the dream of a championship season come true? Let’s dive into the latest installment of the #ProTops Week 7 recap.
Jack Doyle and the Indianapolis Colts were on a bye week. They remain in second place in the AFC South with a 4–2 record.
Sunday’s action kicked off with “The Battle of Ohio” between the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals. It was Cleveland who came away with the victory over their in-state rivals 37–34. Taywan Taylor was inactive during the game. The Browns are now 5–2 on the season.
The New York Jets tried to turn their misfortunes around in their game against AFC East juggernauts & rivals, the Buffalo Bills. However, they couldn’t escape being in the losing column as they had fallen short to the Bills with a final score of 18–10. Adding insult to injury, they’re the only team in the league that hasn't tasted victory in 2020. George Fant played 57 snaps in his sixth start on the Jets offensive line. Mike White remains on the active roster.
The Los Angeles Chargers played host to the Jacksonville Jaguars late Sunday afternoon. Forrest Lamp and the Bolts’ offensive line propelled their ballclub to a 38–29 victory over the Jags. Lamp started his sixth game of the year at offensive guard & tallied 88 total snap counts. They improve to a 2–4 record.
The Kansas City Chiefs cruised to a 45–16 win over division rival Denver Broncos. This victorious affair catapulted them to a 6–1 record. Deon Yelder played a total of 25 snap counts on both offense and special teams during Sunday’s win. He did not have any targets or receptions.
Last but not least, America was treated to a duo #ProTops matchup for Monday Night Football. Tyler Higbee’s Los Angeles Rams played host to Joel Iyiegbuniwe and the Chicago Bears.
Higbee was inactive for the contest due to a hand injury.
