After being released by the New Orleans Saints at the beginning of September, former WKU tight end Deon Yelder will get another chance in the league as a member of the practice squad for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Despite making some noise during summer camp in New Orleans, Yelder never received much playing time in the preseason and was sent to the practice squad only to be released September 1.

Yelder will now join arguably one of the best teams in the NFL and will be waiting behind the likes of Travis Kelce. Being around players of that caliber should pay dividends for him to hopefully prepare him for an NFL roster one day.
