It’s almost that dreaded time of year for collegiate bloggers across the country — the longest two and a half months of the year known as the “offseason.”
College blogging is kind of a gift — you have constant content from August to May unlike if you were to run a blog of a professional team. Yeah, those who do run those blogs are able to fill the dead space with content, and those who do are far more creative and talented than I am, and I envy it very much.
However, we don’t want to be in the business of what I’m going to call “pointless” offseason content. We don’t want to be the site that reverts to “These Are The 10 Best WKU Jerseys of All Time” or stories that are obviously content filling. If there’s one thing I pride what me and the rest of the TTR staff do is provide informative content on the Hilltoppers — be it from an in-house source or from a source that’s talking about something WKU related. We want you to know what the conversation is, at any given time, whether or not we are driving it.
But, we want to write what you will find informative and engaging. This isn’t a case of “we write because you read,” we’d be writing regardless. But, we do like to write things that you also like, which is kind of the point of this.
All I have is a simple ask. More of a plea, if you will.
What content do you want to see from us moving forward?
This includes the off season and even into the regular season. Is there something we’re not doing you’d like to see more of? Let us know! Is there something we’ve done a handful of times that you’d like to see more of? Let us know! Is there something we’re currently doing that you really enjoy and would like to see us continue to do so? Let us know!
There are a few very easy ways you can do that — hit us up on Twitter. Hit us up on the Facebook. Or, leave a comment below.
That’s it! It’s that simple!
We really do want to hear from you, because we want to make content that you’ll enjoy. This is the blog of the people. Help be the people.
