Happy hump day, folks!
10 p.m. ET: SBNation has their (what I’m assuming is weekly?) Mascot Fight projector and, as you’d assume Big Red is in it.
Let's break down CFB's Week 2 matchups as mascot battles
This week's slate of college football games is, well, very underwhelming - in all, there's just two ranked vs. ranked…www.sbnation.com
Except there’s one problem — the prediction is wrong.
No, the Maine Black Bear wont eat Big Red. As we all know, Big Red is the embodiment of a Hill, so all Big Red has to do is sit on the Bear and problem solved. I mean, by SBNation’s own measurements, Big Red literally can’t be measured. No way he gets eaten.
Easy, peasy, folks.
6:20 p.m. ET: It’s picture day for WKU basketball, and the gang looks like they’re having a good time.
The one thing that sticks out here is that there doesn’t look to be any changes to the primary uniform set, so unlike last year when we couldn’t wait to see what the Nike look was going to be, we already know!
Now, this doesn’t rule out that we might see some sort of throwback look as the team celebrates their 100th season.
The only thing I can think to note is that it doesn’t appear the basketball team will have any sort of 100-year anniversary patch, like the football team has on their kits.
4:30 p.m. ET: Until Mike White was drafted by the Cowboys this past draft, I never paid much attention to them. However, I will say they have given an awesome amount of access via social media to their guys — from the call made to White on draft day and to this video where he talks about the process from draft day to camp to making the Star’s 53-man roster.

It’s nothing earth shattering, but it’s good stuff and worth a watch.
Also, can we talk about how his hoodie has an embroidered “MW3” on it? How can I get that?
11:25 a.m. ET: The theme of today is going to be “Fletcher plays catchup with WKU news,” because I was out of it for really unknown reasons yesterday. We all have weird days, right?
A N Y W A Y, Bill Connelly’s S&P+ rankings are out and the Hilltoppers come in at
101!
They actually moved down from 92 to 101, which…I don’t really think means much after one game against a potential CFP team.
Anyway, what else did we learn from the fancy stat rankings?
Louisville, who the Toppers will have in two weeks, fell from 26 to 78
FAU was one of the biggest drops, going from 27 to 84. Yikes
CUSA is the 10th-ranked conference by overall S&P+, at -11.3
9 a.m. ET: No real story today, just a thought about this week.
I’m not excited.
I’m not sure if that’s because I’ll be unable to watch due to my day job or if it’s because it’s Maine or any other factor of reasons, but we are halfway through the week and I keep forgetting we play on Saturday.
Oh well.
Also, let’s see if some news breaks today, eh? Been a quiet start to our week. But, we thank you for continuing to check in with our still baby Topper Today.
