WKU redshirt senior RHP Ben Morrison has been selected in the 10th round by the Los Angeles Angels in the 2018 MLB Draft.
Morrison, who led the Tops in ERA with a 2.21 mark on the year, went 3–4 and compiled seven saves, tied for third-best in the league. Morrison’s ERA also was the sixth best of any pitcher in C-USA who appeared in at least 15 games this season.
The Bowling Green High product missed his junior year in 2016 after undergoing labrum surgery. He was named to the All-CUSA Second Team this year, as well as to the conferences’ All-Academic team.
Morrison is the first Hilltopper to be drafted since Danny Hudzina went in the 10th round in 2016, and is the 17th to be drafted since 2010.
