I say “known” slate because, as you may have forgotten, the final couple of weeks will be on a per-seed basis in an effort to get teams in the conference better at-large bids (it’s no use playing a four-win Charlotte team in late February, but another WKU/Marshall showdown to open March could very well help both teams).
You can read more about that here.
My initial thought was how small/short the schedule looks when you take into account that four games are missing. Also, the Tops will get Marshall twice within a month, so buckle up for that.
Outside of that, nothing too crazy — it’s a three-game road trip to open up before playing three straight at Diddle.
What could be interesting is how the games directly before seeding-scheduling goes. North Texas could be a team on the rise, MT is a big question mark and UAB is never an easy out, so those three games could have a lot riding on them, for either the Tops or the opposition.
