The college basketball world is still buzzing from Charles Bassey’s commitment to WKU and with his reclassification to the 2018 signing class, we now know what the recruiting services have to say.
Rivals says Bassey is the #9 player in the nation, behind R.J. Barrett, Nassir Little, Cameron Reddish, Bol Bol, Zion Williamson, Romeo Langford, Simisolu Shittu and Quentin Grimes.
Bassey is still five-stars by the service, but isn’t given a ranking for the position or state. The Tops moved into a Top 25 recruiting class for 2018 with Bassey’s addition on the service.
247, even in their reclassification, says Bassey is the best player in Kentucky and the second best center in the country, along with giving him the #6 overall rank (behind only Barrett, Reddish, Little and Bol Bol).
247Sports had Bassey as the #3 player in the 2019 class.
For those that pay attention to ESPN rankings, he’s #18 on their ESPN100 hoops list.
For whatever reason.
