On Monday, the season’s first AP Top 25 poll was released and while the Hilltoppers didn’t get any love, a key Topper opponent did as the Washington Huskies will open the year ranked #25.

The Huskies are ranked for the first time since the 2014/15 seasons and are coming off an impressive secret scrimmage victory from over the weekend.

WKU opens their 2018/19 campaign against the Huskies in Seattle.

A couple of other Hilltopper opponents received votes in the preseason poll, despite not cracking the Top 25; Wisconsin and Marshall, who is the lone Conference USA representative, receiving just one vote.
