On Sunday, WKU basketball freshman Jeremiah Gambrell announced via Instagram that he’d be missing action until January and will under go surgery on his leg on Monday.
The 6'0" point guard from Texas will miss matchups with the likes of Washington, Arkansas, Belmont and Wisconsin before he returns for conference play.
One could argue guard is the Tops’ deepest position, so on the court WKU should be fine with Josh Anderson, Taveion Hollingsworth and much hyped freshman Dalano Banton in the backcourt.
However, it’s always a bummer when a young guy like Gambrell, especially someone who a lot of folks were looking forward to, will miss time.
We wish him a speedy recovery and we’ll see him in January!
