Earlier this week, it was announced Justin Johnson had accepted an invitation to the Portsmouth Invitational, a prestigious basketball tournament that hosts some of the best seniors around the country.
Yesterday, JJ opened play as a member of the Sales Systems, LTD squad who defeated Cherry Bekaert, 103–93, in the opening game of the tournament.
Though Johnson did not start for his squad, he did log 21 minutes and log 10 points (4-for-10 from the floor, 1-for-5 from three and 1-for-4 from the free throw line) and add six rebounds to his name.
The WKU Basketball account was following Justin all day, posting gifs of his more exciting plays.
Also on Johnson’s squad is USC’s Jordan McLaughlin, Virginia’s Isaiah Wilkins, Arkansas’ Jaylen Barford and Oklahoma’s Jeffrey Carroll.
The WKU basketball account said JJ will be back in action tonight, but the next game I can find for SSLTD is Friday at 6 p.m CT.
