Ed. note — this story first appeared under the title Keeping up With Conference USA Schedule Announcements. Now that the Tops’ upcoming C-USA schedule is known, we are shifting this story to keep track of all confirmed and rumored games that’ll appear in WKU’s non-conference schedule.
I know it’s hard to believe, but the 2021/22 collegiate basketball season will be here before you know it and the Tops should have plenty of chances to make their national mark and continue their run of success against P5 teams.
As of July 2, here is what we know and what we’ve heard regarding the Tops’ full 2021/22 slate.

Reported
While several games haven’t been announced yet, there have been reports of more opponents for the Tops this coming season.
CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein has reported a pair of major matchups for the Tops: A December 18th meeting in Diddle Arena against Louisville and the first of a four-year, three-game series against South Carolina.
According to friend of the blog D1Docket, the Tops and Gamecocks are set for a December 15 matchup in Columbia.
D1Docket also is reporting a 12/4 game on the books between Eastern Kentucky, as well as a road game at Austin Peay that has yet to have a date.
Rothstein has also reported that the Tops will be involved in a four-team MTE based in Asheville this season that will also feature South Carolina. Assuming SC and WKU don’t play, that means the Tops will reportedly take on Minnesota and a yet-to-be-reported fourth team on 11/12 and 11/14.
So, putting all of that together, the Tops non-conference schedule currently looks like:
11/12 vs. TBA, Asheville, NC
11/14 vs. TBA, Asheville, NC
12/4 vs. Eastern Kentucky
12/15 at South Carolina
12/18 vs. Louisville
TBA: at Austin Peay, at Memphis
