As if things for WKU basketball couldn’t get worse after losing Charles Bassey for the rest of the season, it appears that Lipscomb transfer point guard Kenny Cooper will not be eligible to play this season.
This is honestly a slap in the face for the Tops as they’ve waited so long just to hear a ruling one way or another but at least coach Stansbury knows now.
This will mean that Taveion Hollingsworth and freshman Jordan Rawls will likely play the point guard spot the most this season. Thankfully Hollingsworth has started to come around and looked like a leader against Arkansas and Rawls is looking overall pretty solid for a reclassified true freshman.
For Cooper on the other hand, he will be redshirted for this season but will be eligible to play for the 2020–2021 season.
