*Not Listed Paradise Jam on FloHoops
CUSA Tournament a mix of ESPN+, Stadium & CBS Sports Network
Here are some thoughts on WKU’s television schedule:
Overall nothing too surprising. CUSA is a mix of online platforms that most fans should be used to watching at this point.
I’d expect HSSN to pick up the games against Kentucky State (exhibition) & Campbellsville
We’re still waiting on several road games including Wright State, Rhode Island & EKU. Expect most of those to be on an ESPN platform at least.
WKU definitely has more TV appearances than the rest of the league thanks to HSSN, expect those ESPN 3 games to air locally in Bowling Green & Louisville.
Interesting that all of WKU’s games on HSSN will be ESPN3 instead of ESPN+. That means that WKU fans won’t have to pay the $4.99 per month until the end of the season to watch the Hilltoppers
The Louisville game is on CBS Sports Network on Facebook. That is a bad look for WKU & Conference USA. A Top 10 team having to play online will hurt WKU’s chances of getting those type of matchups in the future. I know Black Friday Football is a big reason for this but after not getting the Football game on regular TV as well, It will be harder for WKU to get home and neutral-site games moving forward.
Be prepared to drop $30 to watch the Paradise Jam tournament in the Virgin Islands. It is on FloHoops and you can’t watch without a monthly subscription. Fan complaints will be loud.
It is great to see ESPNU replace BeIN on CUSA’s tv slate. Hopefully, the league continues to improve so we can get more games on there in the coming years
Overall fans need to remember that Conference USA doesn’t have the national cache of other conferences and that schools would rather play their games on convenient nights for fans instead of catering to TV’s whims. That’s why leagues such as the OVC will get more exposure than CUSA
