The ‘Runners are coming off an 81–77 victory against Marshall, and have won two games in a row against the Herd and UAB (UTSA beat the Blazers by 12).
UTSA, like the Herd, loves to score — they post 81.2 points a game but have been held to 75 points or less in three of their last five five games. On the flip side of that, the ‘Runners allow a ton of points — 76.5 per game, to be exact — so we should be in for another shootout, if the Tops aren’t sleepwalking.
The Birds have three double-figure scorers, but are led by Jhivvan Jackson at 18.9 a night. Keaton Wallace (11.9) and Adrian Rodriguez (10). Rodriguez leads the team — who is a Top 10 rebound squad — with 8.0 rebounds.

It goes without saying, but I’m going to say it anyway — the Tops can’t play, in any way, like they did against UTEP (sans Hollingsworth’s second-half performance and Justin Johnson’s 20-point performance). I think the fun matchup of the game is going to be down low, and the battle between Rodriguez and Byron Frohnen and Johnson and Dwight Coleby on both sides of the ball.
A clean game by both sides could turn into one of the best games of the C-USA schedule.
