Last week’s surprising victory effectively erased the UCA loss and now WKU has a golden opportunity to gain a signature win over an in-state P5 rival. If that doesn’t get you excited, I don’t know what does. WKU played Louisville tough last season, despite having their worst team in a decade. With both teams showing improvement, there is no reason to think that this can’t be winnable. Tyson Helton’s team must finish drives and limit mistakes and if they do, they will be capable of pulling off another signature win in Nashville (Just like 2013 & 2015 Tops) heading into a bye week with defending C-USA Champion UAB on deck September 28th.
Go Tops. We’ll be in Nashville for the big in-state matchup providing live coverage and reaction. If you’re making the trip down I-65, please send us your tailgating and in-game pictures via Twitter at @TheTowelRackWKU or on our Facebook page and we’ll share.
