On Monday, the WKU football team announced the threads the Tops will wear as they take on Marshall this week to open Conference USA play, and it’ll be the debut of a long-awaited combination.
That’s right.
Saturday’s matchup will be the first time the all-black look will be worn by the Tops.
WKU unveiled the all-black, along with an all-red look, earlier this month, and the all-reds were worn in the loss to Maine three weeks ago.
This’ll be the first time the Tops have gone all-black since moving to Nike prior to last season. It’s also the first blackout look for the Tops since, if I’m not mistaken, the Tops defeated Marshall to claim the East Division title in 2015.
I’m sure that’s coincidental.
So yeah. Y’all have clamored for it for the better part of a year, and now you’re getting it.
