Western Kentucky garnered one first-place vote and finished third in the Conference USA Preseason Media Poll, released by the conference Monday.
Marshall, who will be in their first year under new head coach Charles Huff, was picked to repeat winning East, garnering 17 first place votes, the most of any one in the conference. Willie Taggart’s FAU Owls was picked to finish second, logging six first-place votes.
Charlotte, MTSU, FIU and Old Dominion round out the predicted order of finish for the C-USA East.
In the West, UAB was picked to finish first, where they finished last season, with UTSA coming in second.
La Tech, Southern Miss, Rice, North Texas and UTEP finish the West’s predicted finish.
