Tuesday morning, VolQuest, who broke the news that Tyson Helton was leaving Knoxville to become the head coach at WKU, reported that Tennessee quality control assistant Montario Hardesty has been hired as Helton’s running back coach.
Hardesty, a UT alum (he ran for 160 yards and a touchdown in the 2009 game between WKU & UT) and former Cleveland Brown, has previous coaching experience with Norfolk State (running backs coach and special teams coordinator) and FAU before joining the UT staff in an off-the-field role this past year.
VolQuest is reporting Hardesty arrived in Bowling Green on Monday and has hit the recruiting trail for the Tops.
