WKU Recruiting: 2020 Canadian Forward Nick Ongenda Commits to WKU
Coach Stansbury and WKU got their first commitment from the class of 2020 from four-star Canadian forward Nick Ongenda.
Coach Stansbury and WKU got their first commitment from the class of 2020 from four-star Canadian forward Nick Ongenda.
At 6’10” and 190 lbs (along with a 7’4” wingspan), Ongenda will be the second Canadian player to commit to WKU in the past year, joining freshman Canadian guard Dalano Banton. We may have just seen the creation of a new recruiting pipeline for coach Stansbury and his staff.
Ongenda was one of a few recruits that took a visit to WKU during their Pro Day last Thursday so seeing the NBA scouts watch the team and having also a player from Canada on the team may have sealed the deal to help him commit.
