On Thursday, the Hilltoppers extended an offer to class of 2019 guard Marion Humphrey.

Humphrey is listed as 6'3", 185 pounds from Birmingham, Alabama.

There isn’t a ton of information out there on Humphrey, but his VerbalCommits profile calls him a two-star prospect and while everything “official,” I’ve seen says he plays for TaylorMade Academy (which is actually in Florida) other sources — including his highlight video from below — say he went to Hoover High School in Alabama.

I guess both can be true.

And, if both are true, then this is the same Humphrey related to Marlon Humphrey, former Alabama football player now with Baltimore.

Again, operating under the assumption this is the same Humphrey, he was looked at by Memphis and Wisconsin ahead of the 2018 signing class.

The Tops have two commits on the 2019 class, Harlan Jackson and Isaiah Cozart, and have offered four undecided point guards and three undecided shooting guards.
