Kaleb Killian
5'11", 170 pounds
Athlete
Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville, Fla.)
Class of 2021
The Tops are early to the Killian game, but not on the very ground floor — he already holds offers from Southern Miss and Valdosta State. MaxPreps ranks him the 14th best athlete prospect in Florida. he averaged 27.8 yards a game as a sophomore for TC with six touchdowns.
On the offensive side of the ball, he (so far) makes his living making plays out of the backfield — be it a screen pass, an end-around or out of the wildcat. He can increase speed with ease once he hits the second level of the defense, and I can’t describe what it is about him, but he’s a fun runner; it reminds me kind of how an Australian football player runs — he’s not concerned about being tackled, and makes more cuts trying to shake the defenders in front of him rather than worrying about those who are chasing him.
His current tape doesn’t show a ton of defensive plays, which means he may not have had such a strong year on that side of the ball in 2018 or he wants to show off his offensive prowess, so he can play on that side of the ball at the next level.
Killian is the second athlete in the 2021 class to receive an offer from the Tops, along with Kamar Wilcoxson, who is committed to Florida and is a four-star prospect as a sophomore.
The Hilltoppers have no commits from the class of 2021.
