The best I could tell (that being a Twitter search of some combination of the terms “Western Kentucky,” “WKU,” and “offer,”) no one reported an offer from the Tops yesterday. But, that doesn’t mean all is quiet on the crootin’ front.

First brought to my attention by A Sea Of Blue (I’m twitter friends with their editor; what it is, Jason?), in-state prospect Dontaie Allen has received a ratings bump from both Rivals and 247Sports.

Where Allen was bumped to in each ratings system was interesting, as well. Rivals shot him up their Rivals150 rankings, sitting him at 46 (after not being in the rankings at all last week.)

That places him above KyKy Tandy, another Topper prospect, and David Johnson, a shooting guard out of Louisville who Rivals only has Cincinnati, Louisville and Xavier in the running for.

Meanwhile, 247Sports has Allen at 81 overall, ahead of Tandy but behind Johnson.

The way I understand the Allen situation is similar to Taveion or even Bassey; as long as UKY doesn’t come in and offer, there’s a good chance he could be on the Hill. But, if Cal and Co. are interested, then things get much more interesting.
