Alabama’s Taylor Knight received a preferred walk-on offer from the Tops.
His Twitter indicates he’s taken some visits to higher-end FCS programs (notably, Samford and Jacksonville State), but I was unable to find a full recruiting profile on him.
The Tops also offered Pelham, Alabama’s Brock Higdon, a three-star strong-side defensive end.
247Sports says Higdon, a 6'6", 225 pound ’19 prospect holds offers from Mississippi State, Indiana and Army. Honestly, WKU is maybe the fifth or sixth biggest name school he holds an offer from (not that that usually means much).
Another Bama prospect, JR Tran-Reno, also garnered an offer from WKU.
247Sports says the Tops are battling the likes of MTSU, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, Arky State, UAB, Troy and others for the services of the two-star athlete.
Finally, the Tops have offered Florida’s JR Weaver.
Weaver also holds an offer from Buffalo.
