On Thursday, the rosters for the 2019 McDonald’s All-American Game were announced and a name important to many Hilltopper fans graced it — Precious Achiuwa.
McDonald's All-American Game roster released
The rosters for the 42nd annual McDonald's All-American game were announced on Thursday with the top 17 prospects in…247sports.com
The New York native is one of five undecided players on his East roster and one of six undecideds overall on the boys side of the game.
Achiuwa, the #9 ranked player in 247Sports’ 2019 rankings, took an unofficial visit to the Hill in November.
WKU is believed to be among the favorite programs for the five-star recruit, along with UConn (where 247Sports has him Crystal Balled), FSU, Kansas, Memphis, UNC, St. John’s and UCLA.
If Achiuwa does sign with the Hilltoppers, he’d become just the second-ever McDonald’s All-American to sign with WKU, joining Mitchell Robinson.
Currently, WKU’s 2019 class features three players, all of which have signed — Jackson Harlan, Isaiah Cozart and Nick Ongenda. The Tops rank 71st in the country and tops in Conference USA with that trio.
The McDonald’s All-American Game will be played on March 27 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
