Sunday morning the Tops got their 23rd commitment of the 2018 recruiting class when Que Reid announced his intentions on coming to the Hill.
Reid becomes the sixth defensive back in the Toppers’ recruiting class.
When looking at his Hudl film, he appears to be a safety that plays more like a linebacker — he loves breaking towards the ball but can match defenders step for step in the third leval in coverage.
I can’t seem to find a ranking of him from either 247Sports nor Rivals, and the former of those sites only had him considering the Tops and East Carolina, while the latter said there was some interest from Duke, NC State and Charlotte as well.
It was the defensive side of the ball that kept WKU in most of their games this year and with six incoming freshman, that defensive talent is only gonna continue to grow and get deeper.
