Fresh off the hottest recruiting month for WKU football in recent memory, Mike Sanford added another in-state commitment to the top class in Conference USA on Thursday afternoon. Three-Star (Louisville) Doss Athlete Terez Traynor committed to WKU.
Traynor is now the third-highest commitment in WKU’s 2018 recruiting class. The 6'3" Traynor plays all over the field for the Dragons, playing wide receiver, quarterback and defensive back last season. Here is his highlight video on Hudl.
Traynor is WKU’s second in-state commitment in the 2018 class (joining Shannon Bishop ). He has arguably the best offer list of any of WKU’s commitments, especially when you take the regional teams the Hilltoppers had to content with to gain his commitment. On 247 Sports all seven crystal ball predictions predicted him going to Kentucky. They also had to content with offers from Jeff Brohm’s Purdue (who’s been picking off Kentucky prospects lately) and Cincinnati. Props to offensive coordinator Junior Adams & Mike Sanford for reeling in the number six player in Kentucky and keeping the instate pipeline going.
Traynor is recovering from a broken fibula & tibia that he suffered during a 7-on-7 tournament last month. If he makes a full recovery, WKU could be getting another in-state steal from Louisville like Taywan Taylor and Ace Wales before him. His commitment will only strengthen WKU’s spot on Top of the Conference USA recruiting rankings .
