Things had been eerily quiet on the recruiting front for basketball but that finally has ended for the time being.

On Wednesday, 6”11 forward from Dallas, TX Darrius Miles announced he was committing to the Tops.

Miles is a JUCO product and played at Odessa College and averaged 2.8 points and 1.3 rebounds in 17 games for them while shooting over 60% from the field. He was listed as a 2 star recruit out of high school and played at Olympus Prep Academy.

The frontcourt has usually been thin for coach Stansbury so having another big man to go with or relieve Jamarion Sharp this upcoming season will hopefully give them a big paint presence at all times on the court. Next season’s team now has Sharp, Cozart, and Miles as their bigger forwards.
