Recruiting service Scout.com has released it’s “Final 100” basketball recruiting rankings, and a pair of Hilltopper ‘croots have made their way onto the list.
Mitchell Robinson comes in at #8 overall, and is the #4 center according to Scout. The five-star recruit (the first ever five-star in WKU hoops history) is also ranked as the best center in Louisiana and the second-best center in the South.
Josh Anderson ranks at #54 overall, and is considered to be the #12 small guard. Like Robinson, Anderson is the best at his position in the state of Louisiana, and is the fourth-best SG in the South.
BONUS: Topper target Tremont Waters, who we know 247Sports has Crystal Balled to commit to WKU, comes in at #40. Scout sees him as the best point guard in Connecticut, the fourth-best in the East and the 12th-best point guard. The schools rivaling the Tops in contention for Waters, according to Scout, are Creighton, Duke, Kansas and Syracuse. Some stiff company, but where there’s a will, there’s a Stansbury.
WKU is already a top-20 recruiting class for 2017 and, as we learned earlier this week, a commitment from Waters would catapult the Tops into a top-5 spot.
It’s getting so much harder to contain excitement surrounding the impending comings of Anderson and Robinson, and if Waters does, in fact, come to the Hill, it’s going to feel like forever until November.
