We are so close to finally seeing Rick Stansbury actually coach basketball as opposed to excite (or rile up) WKU fans and bring in recruit after recruit.
Well, lucky for Tops fans, it doesn’t seem as if the latter of those things are going to stop anytime soon, as it appears Stansbury will have a visitor tonight as WKU unofficially tips off its season.
Williamson, a five-star small foward out of Spartanburg, South Carolina, is listed as the #6 recruit in the 2018 class by 247sports and has an offer from just about anyone you can think of.
Arizona State, Auburn (who seems to be rivaling the Tops for the new kids on the ‘crootin block), UConn, Georgetown, Kentucky, LSU, UNC and…I could go on, but you get the picture. A full list is here, via ESPN.
There really isn’t much else to say other than you have to hope Williamson likes what he sees tonight, and Stansbury can make a case too good to refute for the Red Towels.
If you were on the fence about going to Hilltopper Hysteria tonight, hope this helps clear your mind. YOU. NEED. TO. GO.
A five-star recruit and someone who could go literally anywhere he wants to ain’t gonna be impressed by a half-empty Diddle, so things could really go well for the Tops tonight.

As the weather gets (somewhat) colder, that can only mean basketball in E.A. Diddle Arena is just around the corner…medium.com
